This episode we speak with my good friend and super talented artist, Dameon Williams. Dameon’s a Father of three, husband of one, doing what literally most artistic people do - working a not-so-artistic full-time job - at a hospital no-less, smack dab in the middle of a pandemic, while spending most of every other waking moment crafting beautiful illustrations. His art is playful and informative, using his skills to help showcase historical and social elements dealing largely with people of color and beyond. It was great to catch up with him on how he’s personally handling Covid-19 through his hospital work as well as a being a concerned citizen who happens to also be African American during a historical moment following the death of George Floyd. Take a listen and enjoy our talk with Dameon!

The Pencil Pushers Podcast is a celebration of the hand-drawn arts. I’ll be interviewing friends and idols in illustration, animation, comic-art, and more.
